Get the right fit. Boost their confidence. Stop the guesswork.

If you're buying gloves for your child, size is everything.

Too small? They'll be uncomfortable, restrict hand movement, or split at the seams.

Too big? They’ll struggle to catch, lose confidence, and the glove will do more harm than good.

A proper fit means better handling, more control, and fewer mistakes.

Here’s exactly how to get it right — no guesswork, no vague age-based sizing.

How to measure your child’s hand

Forget age. Every kid is different — and sizing by age alone is one of the biggest mistakes parents make.

To get the right glove size:.

  • Take a tape measure (or ruler)
  • Measure from the base of the palm to the tip of the middle finger (in centimetres)
  • Add 1cm to that number
  • Round up to the nearest whole number — that’s your glove size
  • Example: 15.8cm + 1cm = 16.8cm → Size 7
  • Tip: If you're between sizes, go up one. A little extra room is fine. Too tight is a problem.

Why the right fit matters so much

You wouldn’t buy them boots two sizes too big — gloves are no different.

Poorly sized gloves affect:

Handling – The ball slips or feels “off”

Confidence – They don’t trust their hands

Durability – Oversized gloves wear down faster

Technique – Bad habits creep in early

And no — they shouldn’t “grow into them.” That only slows their progress.

Built specifically for junior keepers

Our youth gloves aren’t just shrunk-down adult models. We redesign them from the ground up:

  • Junior-specific cut – snug where it needs to be, with growing room
  • Durable Giga latex – more forgiving for developing technique
  • Secure wrist support – easy to pull on, tough to shake off
  • Reinforced stress points – built for repeat impact on turf or grass

Because if they’re learning the hardest job on the pitch, they deserve proper gear — not just “good enough.”

FAQs

What size goalkeeper gloves does my child need?

Measure from the base of their palm to the tip of their middle finger in cm, then add 1cm. Round up to the nearest whole number — that’s their size. Don’t guess based on age.

Should I size up so they can grow into them?

No. Oversized gloves hurt their confidence and technique. A slightly snug glove that fits now is far better than one that feels like a boxing mitt.

What if they're between sizes?

Go up one size. A little extra space is fine — too tight, and you’ll reduce performance and risk splitting.

How should goalkeeper gloves feel when new?

Snug, but not restrictive. They should feel secure across the fingers and palm, with no gaps or dead space. Slight stretch in the materials is normal.

Do your junior gloves fit differently than adult ones?

Yes — we design them specifically for youth hands. Our junior models have tighter entry points, tailored finger fit, and slightly adjusted proportions to suit smaller keepers.

What if I get the wrong size?

No stress — we accept size exchanges (as long as gloves are unworn). We're here to help you get the right fit first time.
